Smart and effective strategy for content marketing

Quality content is not only an effective marketing strategy but also – and what I believe is its main purpose – the way to sustain a reliable customer-company relationship. Taking your business to Poland, whether it is already being carried out or still in the research phase, as for any other country, requires communication. And communication with your Clients should be solid and… Client-friendly. What does that mean?

Content is the king, yes, but how to make sure my Clients benefit from it?

  • Informative – writing tips, hacks, useful details about how to use your product or what your services are about – this is a great way to go.
  • Interesting – among all the available information, it is essential that your content makes your reader curious and willing to read further. And well-written texts give you just that.
  • Visible – you reach your Clients on various ways. As the good content is what search engines like the most, do not forget to highlight the key parts, so your texts are easy to find.
  • High quality – the text is informative, interesting and easy to find, and if on the top of that it is also of the highest quality – the world is yours.
  • Engaging – happy Clients sharing your texts with their friends or business associates? That kind of positive social media boost is great for your business.

Content marketing is not just about SEO and that’s what makes it count even more

Focusing only on SEO aspects of your webpages’ and other content marketing examples in action is a mistake easily to be avoided by remembering about a few tips to get useful content marketing texts posted online.
  1. Take your Client’s opinion and problems into consideration.
  2. Focus on a problem that your service solves for your Client.
  3. Show additional, or give advanced, features descriptions of your product.
  4. Present your vision, your company.
  5. Give some examples of how you and your Company may help.
  6. Be inspirational.

How to translate a website? A comprehensive guide to website localisation, part 1.

Having mentioned the website localisation strategy, I'd like to expand the topic and take a closer look at the website localisation process. Of course it may be very easy: just send some string files, provide guidelines (or not), get the files back, implement the new language version on the website and voila.

Business analysis for a website translation

In many cases, entrepreneurs prefer to prepare more materials and information to work with language vendors in a  more advanced way. They also chose to work with language specialists so the effect is a part of the global company strategy. So today let’s take a look at some basic elements of a business analysis and take a glimpse into what is useful for further localisation actions.

Products
The question is not only whether to translate the names of your products, or their descriptions as well. It is also a matter of how you want to present them on the foreign market. What aspects do you wish to highlight, what advantages you want to present and how are the similar products (if there are any) doing on the certain area. This is closely related to a business analysis (SWOT, etc.), so it is something worth considering. From a translator’s point of view, it is important to know, if you simply want a translation or a maybe a more advanced localisation

Marketing
Will there be a marketing campaign in Polish for your new market? If so, to ensure terminology and linguistic consistency on your website and on all your promotional materials, it is useful to have your linguists team working with the creative company - as consultants or proofreaders/language verificators. There is also one more option - preparing linguistics guides but this is something we will talk about bit later.

Social media
Do you consider having a local social media strategy? Is XYZ [Company name] POLAND something you want your consumers to see on their social media feeds? If so, there is a good chance you will want your English social media materials translated. Usually it benefits you and your brand a lot, if you decide on that while ordering translation services.

Along with the aforementioned aspects of a business analysis, there come also elements like the translation of landing pages, community management and many more. Everything depends on the approach you take on your products' localisation and what goals you want to achieve. To get what is the best from expanding on the new markets, talking with your local language specialists is helpful. As for Polish, together we can create a wonderful language strategy, which will bring you benefits, such as loyal customers and great brand identity in Poland.

Project guidelines, glossary, and stylesheets for your language vendors

Consistency within all the media where you present your products, services and your offer is important. There are multiple benefits from running all your activities according to a coherent linguistic plan. I will expand this topic in future posts, but now let's just take a quick look at what you gain from working on a localisation of your website (and products) with the Mana Translation team:
  • Guidelines and stylesheets. For your current and future language partners in languages other than Polish. Also helpful for marketing campaigns strategy, and for a clear overview of your translation activities on the Polish market.
  • Glossary. It may be accompanied with pictures or supported with definitions. A terminology base for your products, ways of describing them, elements of your company, and more. This is something we can determine before, during and also after the translation process.
  • Creative cooperation, the ability to adapt each text to the Polish audience due to our language skills and our evergrowing knowledge of the modern online marketing rules.
